It was a clear star studded night, much like most nights on our world with one astonishing exception, a scouting party of extraordinarily ancient beings, traveling light years across the vast cold sea of space, landed a space ship undetected at a out of the way place on planet earth. They came not as friends but as conquers, it was their way of doing things for billions of years. The species that landed was ancient, almost as old as the universe itself. With the passage of time, deep time, they developed insect like forms to cope with the extreme environment of the early universe. And like insects, some processed the nasty ability to invade and breed their young inside a host body. Some could alter their appearance for survival sake, while others process the ability to evade a host body keep it alive and function as that host. Infighting among different classes of species led to famine and destruction of their worlds forcing the last standing surviving species to spread out across the galaxies, selecting worlds ripe for conquering, taking all, using up and moving on leaving ruination behind. Their plan, use transformative powers to take over and lie in wait, hiding inside the body of a human host using it to function as that human and periodically exchanging worn out and dying bodies for new ones. The host bodies chosen are important people in authority; people who will help set the stage for the hour of the final Metamorphosis and the take over the earth.
